It is not meant to be a game, but to watch how a hero wielding a sword navigates through an army of monsters that may take on some very frightening forms. We would have thought that the game was designed specifically for Halloween if we hadn't known. The running hero, from left-to-right, is a nobleman who must avoid being killed as he runs the distance specified. 

The distance increases as you progress through the levels. There are also different levels of protection. They each replenish their portion of health. This wave of instant rejuvenations is much more useful than collectibles * something a hero can buy in the store of this free online game: o XP multiplier: to receive rejuvenations faster by killing the same number enemies. This wave of instant rejuvenations can be more valuable than collecting collectibles. 

The hero does take damage from enemies. The game is unique in that you must choose between choosing to kill enemies to earn more money and to avoid them so as to prolong your life but lose money. When your parameters have been maxed, however, you'll be scared of very little.
